Every dollar you give goes directly to Black and Brown girls and gender expansive young people building the tools to heal, tell their stories, and lead.

Why Give

SOAR started with a question a dance teacher's students kept asking: Can we learn Black history in dance class? Five cohorts and 80+ young people later, that question has become an ecosystem — six interconnected programs where girls don't just participate, they lead. They become historians, healers, researchers, performers, and curriculum designers for the adults around them.

Your gift funds a girl's path through that ecosystem — from her first workshop in The Embodied Lab, to her story preserved in The Archive Project, to her research becoming curriculum she teaches to actual teachers in The Curriculum Table.

We believe healing the body is political. We believe storytelling is power. We believe Black and Brown girls are knowledge producers, not just knowledge recipients. Your donation makes those beliefs into rooms, programs, and stipends.
